THE RESOURCES OF MURPHY BUSINESS

WHAT WE DO

Core Services

Sell a Business

Protect What You've Built. Prepare for What's Next.

Selling a privately held business requires much more than finding a buyer.

We help owners understand value, prepare their companies for market, develop confidential marketing strategies, identify and qualify prospective buyers, negotiate transaction terms, coordinate due diligence, and manage the many moving pieces required to reach closing.

Our process centers around three priorities:

Confidentiality. Value. Execution.

Buy a Business

Find the Right Opportunity. Make a Better-Informed Acquisition.

Acquiring a business can create tremendous opportunity—but identifying the right company and successfully completing a transaction requires discipline.

Murphy Business professionals help buyers evaluate opportunities, understand valuation and deal structure, navigate negotiations and due diligence, coordinate financing resources, and move from initial interest through closing.

Business Valuation

Understand What Your Business Is Really Worth.

Nearly every important business transition begins with understanding value.

Murphy Business provides valuation services for owners considering a sale as well as businesses requiring valuation for planning, ownership transitions, financing, partner matters, and other purposes.

Available services can range from a Broker's Opinion of Value to more comprehensive valuation engagements depending upon the client's needs.

FOR BUSINESS OWNERS

Thinking About Selling Your Business?

You don't need to be ready to sell tomorrow to begin planning today. For many owners, the best first step is understanding three things:

What might my business be worth?
What would make it more attractive to buyers?
What does the sale process actually look like?

A confidential conversation with an experienced business intermediary can help answer those questions before an owner makes any commitments.

Whether the anticipated timeline is six months or several years, understanding the options earlier can lead to better decisions later.

No obligation. All discussions are held in confidence.

  • Preserving a company's legacy.

  • Finding the right successor.

  • Creating financial independence.

  • Or simply determining whether now is the right time to sell.
